Smart centerlines and center marks
It's easy to create and edit centerlines and center marks. When you move associated objects, the centerlines and center marks automatically move with your object.
Resizable dialog boxes
Many dialog boxes have been made larger. You can resize other dialog boxes, and AutoCAD will remember your last setting. View more information with less scrolling, and make edits in dialog boxes more comfortably.
Automatically create appropriate measurements based on your drawing context. Pass the cursor over selected objects to get a preview of the dimension—before you create it.

Create revision clouds with more flexibility and modify them with ease. Draw revision bubbles around new changes in a drawing to quickly identify your updates. Whether your revision cloud is rectangular, polygonal, or freehand, it's now easier to edit its size and shape with a grip.

See the details in your designs more clearly with visual enhancements such as Line Fading. Readability is now enhanced with true curves instead of line segments. Minimize the need to undo an operation by using Command Preview, which lets you see the results of a command before you commit to it. Move and copy large selection sets more easily.

Orient your work more precisely with the point cloud. Maneuver between horizontal and vertical planes more quickly with Dynamic UCS. Snap to edges, intersections, corners, and centerlines to quickly create geometry using point cloud object snaps.

Surface Curve Extraction tool
Extract isoline curves through a specified point on a surface or face of a solid to determine the contour lines of any shape. The tool displays a preview of the resulting spline before you pick the point. You can specify the direction of the isolines, either in the U or V direction.

Context-sensitive PressPull tool
Extrude and offset curves, creating surfaces and solids. Use the Multiple option to select multiple objects within a single PressPull operation. You are no longer limited to clicking inside a bounded area: Now you can select 2D and 3D curves for a quick and easy PressPull operation.

3D free-form design tools
Generate design ideas in almost any form imaginable with AutoCAD design features. Push/pull faces, edges, and vertices to model complex shapes and add smooth surfaces. Solid, mesh, and surface modeling give you flexibility and control when designing in 3D. The navigation bar includes frequently used tools such as steering wheels, view cube, and show motion, as well as pan, zoom, and orbit.

Analyze the continuity, curvature, and draft of 3D solids and surfaces. The Zebra analysis projects stripes onto a 3D model to analyze surface continuity. The stripes display continuously only across tangent surfaces.

You have several options for 3D printing: You can send your 3D models to an external 3D print service. Or, install the Print Studio tool and either connect to a 3D printer or create a print file for later.
Use the design feed on an intranet, Internet, or cloud connection. The design and the conversation happen in the same place, but when it's time to send your final drawing, you have a choice. You can keep the comments intact, or strip them using built-in tools in the eTransmit and File Save workflows.
